Experience The island Skúvoy, see puffins, guillemots and visit a local.
Skúvoy is a Ramsar site due to the biggest guillemot colony in the Faroe Islands, but the island also has many puffins and they are right by the village and ferry port.
The Faroese viking Sigmundur Brestisson, who introduced christianity to the Faroe Islands in 999 is buried on Skúvoy and we see his tombstone. You also hike to Fagridalur valley and see the house where legend Rannvá lived when she was expelled from society due to her pregnancy without being married.
